Personal Development through Knowledge

                       SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS due to CARELESSNESS
Usually, when be are full of ourselves and with selfish or our pseudo religious pursuits, we
become careless and it leads to spiritual blindness. The words spoken by Isaiah were not
enough to "kick" the slack out of Hezekiah. He interpreted God's word to him as good new!
Wow! Oftentimes, we look for good things from God; even in our unrepentant ways and
pursuits.
Hezekiah replied to the Prophet Isaiah, "Good is the Word of Jehovah which you have spoken.
And he said, is it not good if peace and truth are in my days?" (2King 20:19) King Hezekiah,
do you thing these words mean Peace and Truth in your days? Did you hear what Isaiah said
to you King Hezekiah?

THE EXPECTATION for REVIVAL
Revival comes from above—from God. Usually, it breaks out on us because we place ourselves
in the right atmosphere, soul, spirit and body. Revival can come to a person from words we
speak to him/her because as we speak, his/her heart 'melts' before God. As Apostle Peter was
speaking to the people in Cornelius house, the Holy Spirit fell and baptized all of them.
Similarly, when it comes to corporate revival, the Word or worship goes forth and if the people
break or melt before God, He will send down His Spirit to revive us. Revival is not a good
feeling of an assumed presence of God. Revival must have a lasting impact on the life of
anyone who experiences it. It will have a lasting influence his/her soul, spirit and body. (Read
more from the book "Re-Created for Greatness")

Avoid Revenge
‎1Thessalonians 5:15-22, "Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Instead, always
pursue what is good for each other and for everyone else. Always be joyful. Continually be
prayerful. In everything, be thankful, because this is God's will in Christ Jesus for you. Do not
put out the Spirit's fire. Do not despise prophecies. Instead, test everything. Hold on to what
is good, but keep away from every kind of evil."

Keep Your Righteous Garment
My soul rejoices in the Lord! "I will rejoice and be glad in Your steadfast love, because You
have seen my affliction; You have known the distress of my soul." Then my soul will rejoice in
the LORD, exulting in His salvation. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in
my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation; He has covered me with the
robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels." (Psalm 31:7, Psalm 35:9, and Isaiah 61:10).

Brokenness of soul that leads to humility in life and correct attitude toward life and people
comes from a true revelation of our identity in Christ -- Treasures in earthen vessels! "Those
who were not My people I will call 'My people,' and her who was not beloved I will call
'beloved.'"

CARELESSNESS in TIMES of UNCONTROLLED JOY & TIMES of ADVERSITY
The Prophet Isaiah stepped off for a while. Out of joy of God's mercy in his healing, King
Hezekiah became very careless and showed everything in his palace; even to his enemies. In
times of success or plenty or in times of adversity, some of us become very careless in how we
conduct our lives. The Bible commands self-control in all we do! We must not let our times of
plenty or adversity cast blinders over our eyes.

Isaiah came to King Hezekiah after the visitors where gone and said to him in 2Kings 20:16-18,
"Hear the word of the LORD: Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and
that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall
be left, says the LORD. And some of your own sons, who shall be born to you, shall be taken
away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."

If the godly people in our lives should step off for a while or if we travel away from them or
from our local church, are we going to allow our godly principles to control any ungodly 'kick'
to may try to invade our hearts?

Correct Attitude in Times of Adversity
If we lose hope and feel lost because of difficult life issues, are we saying we lost our Jesus
too? Romans 8:35 says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?" Again, the Bible says in
Romans 8:38-39, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things
present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

If God be for us, who can be against us? If we say to ourselves or to others, "I have lost it",
that is what will eventually happen for us. Do not get me wrong! I am not saying life
difficulties are not painful when it looks we have lost it and feel hopeless. I do not have a
doctorate degree in facing adversities but I may have a master’s degree. What I am saying is
that our God is BIGGER than anything in LIFE. The bigger we see our God, the smaller our
problems become and the possibility for a miracle.
In times of trouble, we have to start thanking God and rebuking the devil to get off our case. He
can hear what you say. Rebuke what he may be doing in our lives and in our home until he
knows we really know what we say. He will flee. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves
therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." To submit to God is to submit to
what His word is saying to our situation, our time of trouble. This will open doors for a
miracle. Ability of God to help us is not a fantasy. It is REAL for those who believe! This is
why Jesus said in Mark 9:23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
DO WE BELIEVE? If yes, then we must let Heaven see that we truly believe!

Encouragement
All that God will ever do to help humanity accomplish His will is complete—finished! His
divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. However, we have
to gain an increasing knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence (2Peter 1:
3). In addition, He has also given us His great and precious Word to live by. In doing so, we
will escape corrupt in this sin-laden world. This is how we would participate in His divine
nature—the nature of Christ, which is His goal for all. Romans 8:29, "For those whom He
foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might
be the firstborn among many brothers." Praise God!

Encouragement
Push through like a woman in labor! Encourage her to PUSH! The curtain must break for the
glory waits behind there. It is in our strength to BREAK the curtain. Push, push, and I say,
push! Again I say, PUSH! Release all that diminish our strength—self, competitiveness, envy,
bigness, love of pleasure, comfort Christianity and anything that add spiritual baggage to our
praise, our prayer and our efforts.
What are you doing hating? Rise up and LOVE.
What are you doing sleeping? Rise up and PRAY.
What are you doing with worldly yokes? Rise up and SEPARATE.
Why are you playing with carelessness? Rise up and STRAIGHTEN your life.
What are you, what are you doing and where are you My sons? Top of Form

Let us return to the fear of the Lord for our good
The teaching on the fear of the Lord must return to church across the globe. This is necessary
because words, lifestyles, attitudes, pursuits and deeds show many of our people are losing it.
Many have unfortunately covered their eyes with the glasses of "GRACE" and cannot see the
need to fear God. Jesus said in Luke 12:5, "But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear
Him, who after
He has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear Him."
God said in Malachi 1:6, "A son honors his father and a servant his master. If then I Am a
father, where is My honor? And if I Am a master, where is My fear?" Considering the pursuit
of the Kingdom promises, 2Corinthians 7:1 says, "Having therefore these promises, dearly
beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting (maturing
in) holiness in the fear of God."
I had a long conversation with a pastor in one of the Austin neighborhoods. He confessed he
went into the ministry with very little knowledge. Pushing only “grace” and “God's goodness”
is likely to blind the eyes, minds and hearts from understanding the severe side of the God we
serve. Apostle Paul said in 2Corinthians 5:11, "Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord,
we try to persuade people. We ourselves are perfectly known to God. I hope we are also really
known to your consciences."

Serve God Acceptably
The Kingdom of God is the key! It is not a matter of having the name, “I am a Christian” on
our lips. I repeat, “It is the Kingdom!” Regarding the Kingdom, the Bible says in Hebrews 12:
28-29, "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by
which we may SERVE God ACCEPTABLY with reverence and godly fear, for also, "Our God
is a consuming fire."

Discover who you have become in Christ
The age of understanding is here and is now! "You are the salt of the earth..." (Matthew 5:13).
I do not throw salt in places and into situations or use anything tangible. When I get to a place,
salt and light are there to accomplish God's righteous purpose. This is the lightweight Christian
lifestyle—the new life in Christ—the kingdom life. (Read more from the book, "Re-Created for
Greatness")
Deuteronomy 11:24, "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your
territory shall be from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates,
to the western sea."
The day Jesus stepped onto the earth, in His physical form, His dominion began. Anxiety and
apprehension invaded the hearts of the lords of the earth. Therefore, they sought to eliminate
Jesus to cut short His journey to possessing all power! They tried this at the age He was
vulnerable—a baby. They tried it again in the wilderness of fasting and on the high sea. In both
situations, He quieted the enemy—"Get thee hence, Satan", "Peace, be still". In the confusion
amongst the lords of the earth, they rather finalized Jesus' Lordship when in their hate for Him,
killed Him, "It is finished". Those who believe have become His authority figures in the earth.
Do you believe you are?
Truth and sincerity in the face of losing something, being shamed or persecuted, and the fear
of the Lord form a doorway to the maturity of holiness. Ignoring the fear of the Lord has
become the doorway to many evil deeds and behaviors in the Christian church of today.
A picture I show to others or my outward show of deeds is not necessarily the personality
dwelling within if hypocrisy and scheming are dominant in my Christian life. (Read more from
the book "Re-Created for Greatness")

Obedience and Worship
OBEDIENCE to the voice or Word of God is the highest form of worship we can offer to Him.
It creates room in our being for His residence. Isaiah 66:1-2, "Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is
My throne, and the earth is My footstool; what is the house that you would build for Me, and
what is the place of My rest? All these things My hand has made, and so all these things came
to be, declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and
contrite in spirit and trembles at my word." Jesus said in John 14:23 that He and the Father
will come take residence in those who obey His commands. Again, 2Peter 1:4 says if we live
by God's precious and great promises (His Word), we escape corruption in this life and we
take on His divine nature. He loves to share His divine nature with those who obey Him.

Lifestyle in Adversity and in Blessings
When the world came crushing on our lives and on our hopes, the Lord gave us grace to endure
until His intervention. We will need the same grace and even more of it to remain faithful to
God when He takes away the pressure due to our problems.
David went through years of distress in the wilderness from the hands of King Saul who
sought to kill him because God's anointed was on him. When it was all over and he became the
king, David allowed carelessness to ambush him. He killed Uriah for his wife.
LESSON: The freedom God gives us from our very difficult life situations does not give us the
license to yield to carelessness. His freedom brings us into a new realm in God. This new realm
is higher than our former and requires much more discipline. The deeper we journey along the
"steps" into God, the greater the discipline and self-control He require of us. Many do careless
things but Moses could not get away with his. He could not enter the Promise Land! Wow!

The Church must Do Christ Will
A true church is like a factory. It "PUMPS" out (produces) soldiers of the Cross of Jesus
Christ who permeate neighborhood, villages, cities and towns with the message of the gospel of
the kingdom. They are unstoppable because the Commander-in-Chief, Jesus Christ is with
them. We must continually grow TOUGH in our resolve to live a truthful and diligent lives to
Jesus. We must know how to deal with life issues, difficulties and inconveniences without
caving-in to unrighteousness. The whole creation waits on us to find us rise up as SONS of
God—people with strong backbones of righteousness, truth, holiness and the power of the
Holy Spirit.

Serve God Acceptably
In John 4:21-23, Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Woman, believe me, the hour is coming
when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship
what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the
hour is coming, and is now here, when the TRUE worshipers will worship the Father in
SPIRIT and TRUTH, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” Not only that but
also in Hebrews 12 the Bible says we must have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably,
with REVERENCE and godly FEAR.
Hear What the Angel of the Lord Says to the Church
To the angel of the church of Ephesus write: He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who
walks in the midst of the seven golden lamp stands, says these things.  I know your works and
your labor and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil. And you tried those
pretending to be apostles, and are not, and have found them liars.  And you have borne, and have
patience, and for My name's sake you have labored and have not fainted. But I have against you
that you left your first love.

Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will
come to you quickly and will remove your lamp stand out of its place unless you repent.  But you
have this, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He who has an ear, let him
hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the Tree of
Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God - Rev 2:1-7

Avoid the Excuse of Unrighteous Righteousness
Invoking the name of Christ on yourself does not necessarily make your decisions and actions
righteous. Your actions and deeds would be seen as righteous if what you consider as right exactly
lines up with what God says is right.
God is absolutely righteous and He does not use unrighteous means to bully His way through, to
establish His will. You can bet that, whatever God does, in the seen and the unseen are always
righteous and just.
                                                     Avoiding Unholy Behaviors
The drive inside some people is to fight and protect their interest through unrighteous means. This
attitude could override the desire to do what is completely righteous, unless one has a greater
measure of the Spirit of Christ at work inside of him or her and is rooted and grounded in Christ.
You cannot use unrighteous means to justify your actions, which you regard as the will of God.
The characteristics of people of the Jesus generation does not grant them the liberty to use an
inner or outward means to avenge themselves!
                                                      Learn Obedience
The goal of God for your salvation is holiness. Holiness is the consequence of a life of
righteousness. Righteousness is the consequence of a life of obedience. You have to learn
obedience, otherwise, your Christian life will go nowhere with God.
Why is that true? It is so because obedience is the solution to the problem of Garden of Eden,
which was disobedience. You will not know what it means to obey God until you have come face
to face with challenges and temptations in life and have succeeded in doing what God require of
you.
                                                        Be Found In Him
If you have received Jesus Christ as savior and Lord, you will do well to ensure that you secure
position in Him, so you may be found worthy of Him and of His Kingdom. Lift up your head and
your eyes and acknowledge the day and season in which we live. The fruit is almost ready for
harvest.
                                                    The Path To Death
As a cow enters a slaughter house and never returns or as a violent dog enters an extermination
house and never returns or as the greedy chicken goes after the little that others have and looses
the food that it had, so does rampant greed, corruption, selfishness, and manipulations of the poor
and needy lead nations, cities and churches in the path of economic bankruptcy and death.
These pursuits feels good when one is in control of others but they act like a cancer and have the
power to bring down vibrant nations, cities, villages, churches, social and religious movements. Do
not forget that!

Grace is the solution for our frequent rebellion, self-indulgent and self-gratifying lifestyle. Grace is
the final solution to help God's people live triumphantly in this evil world. Therefore, we are
warned, "Do not receive the grace of God in vain". To receive the grace of God in vain is to claim
to be in or under grace and still live defeated Christian life.

How I yearn for that day, when as a child of God, I will cease to judge by what I seen with my
eye, or have heard with my ears. Oh, the abundant life-that I judge people and circumstances only
by the Spirit of God! It will go a long way to help deal with my brothers and sisters justly,
mercifully and walk with humility of heart before the God of my salvation.

Pursuit of God with passion and correct orientation to Him through a life of the Spirit, truth and
the fear of the Lord are not mutually exclusive kingdom demands. He already has taught us what is
good—justice, love for mercy and humility of heart before God. The goal is the nature or image of
the Son of God—I am meek and lowly in heart—rest for the soul, the reward.

Even when we go through life's difficulties, God waits to bless and increase us. In our places of
nothingness, He will feed us with enough manna to keep us still trusting and hoping in Him.

I went to the apple tree. There, I picked only those that are good and acceptable in my eyes and
left the others. Unfortunately, insects corrupted the ones I left. When I saw they are corrupted, I
started complaining bitterly! The words that came to me were, "Why are you complaining? Did
you not leave the rest of the apple and did not attend to them? Pay attention to all the apples
ALWAYS if you want them to be good for your use." The world and the devil are never friends of
our leaders. They seek to corrupt our leaders so the body, country, city or village; even church will
become corrupted. It produces very difficult situations for us all.
So God commands you and me, "First of all, then, I URGE that SUPPLICATIONS, PRAYERS,
INTERCESSIONS, and THANKSGIVINGS be made for all people, for KINGS and ALL who are
in HIGH POSITIONS, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every
way. This is GOOD, and it is PLEASING in the sight of God our Savior, who desires ALL people
to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1Timothy 2:1-4).
We do not pick the apples we like and leave the rest to corruption. Their actions and deeds will
come back to bite us. We are not people who react to "BAD" situations! We are proactive people
because we have the eyes & ears of Jesus and can see & hear ahead if only we are not asleep and
busy about our own business!

Avoid Carelessness after Your Victories
When the world came crushing on our lives and on our hopes, the Lord gave us grace to endure
until His intervention. We will need the same grace and even more of it to remain faithful to God
when He takes away the pressure due to our problems.
David went through years of distress in the wilderness from the hands of King Saul who sought to
kill him because God's anointed was on him. When it was all over and he became the king, David
allowed carelessness to ambush him. He killed Uriah for his wife.
LESSON: The freedom God gives us from our very difficult life situations does not give us the
license to yield to carelessness. His freedom brings us into a new realm in God. This new realm is
higher than our former and requires much more discipline. The deeper we journey along the
"steps" into God, the greater the discipline and self-control He require of us. Many do careless
things but Moses could not get away with his. He could not enter the Promise Land! Wow!

 God Fights for His Own
God is ready to deal with evils that give us problems if we would orient our hearts to obey Him.
Pointing fingers at evil does not necessarily move the hand of God. House cleaning first!
2Corinthians 10:4-6, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power
to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the
knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every
disobedience, when your obedience is complete."

Nothing Can Thwart God's Purpose for You but YOU
The poor Samaritan woman met Jesus for the first time and after a short discuss with Him, she
had a revelation, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet" (John 4:19). The religious leaders saw
Jesus a couple of times, at least for 2 years but they sought to kill Lazarus whom Jesus had raised
from the dead! Wow!
John 12:10, "So the chief priests made plans to put Lazarus to death as well, because on account
of him many of the Jews were going away and believing in Jesus."
No one can prevail against God's purposes! Job caught this revelation when he said in Job 42:2, "I
know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."

Your Duty to Pray for All Leaders
A child called Destiny, well trained in a Christian home. As he grew up, Destiny found himself
released into the world. John Doe accepted the duty to watch over Destiny so the world would
not get into him. John Doe said, "Yes Sir" to the duty. Unfortunately, John Doe got busy with his
own stuff. The world corrupted Destiny because the WATCHMAN did not pay attention. He
abrogated his duty. When John Doe saw Destiny was corrupted, he started cursing and said very
bad things about him except pray for him. John Doe had friends who joined in the cursing
business. As they did, Destiny became more and more corrupted. When these bad things began to
happen to Destiny, John Doe failed to go to the One who assigned him the duty, to confess his
failure and to ask for grace to deal with the situation. Instead, Joe Doe went on condemning, hating
and talking down on Destiny more and more.
1Timothy 2:1-3, "I exhort therefore, that, FIRST of ALL, SUPPLICATIONS, PRAYERS,
INTERCESSIONS, and GIVING of THANKS, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are
in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is
good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior."

Seeing the Goal of our Salvation
Romans 8:24-25, "For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who
hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."
This is the tricky part of the journey to our "Promise Land". Because we do not see it in a tangible
way, many of us do  things and behave in certain ways that deviate from 'live worthy of the
Kingdom'. Unless we look at it with the eye of faith, trust and the validity of God's word, some of
us will exchange the glory for fleeting pleasures and pursuits.
Jesus is praying for us that the eyes of our hearts be enlightened, that we may know what the
hope to which He has called us is. He wants us to know the riches of His glorious inheritance in
the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who BELIEVE, according to
the working of His great might.

Avoid “Cold” Religion
If I weigh my thoughts and inner motivations with God's word and His ways, I will escape
wrongdoing.
•        In silence does my heart reflect on me! In loudness, I run away from me. Me is me, the true
me. Me will stand at Heaven's gate for verification to get in. Will me get in? What did I do with me
while life was sweet or bitter, smooth or rocky, dark or light?
•        If I am quick to entrench myself in the things that pleases me no matter who says no, I must
look up at the “referee's flag”. It may be signaling "Love of Self".
•         If I turn on the HOT faucet and COLD water comes out, something must be WRONG!
When the ENVIRONMENT gets cold, from what do the people living in the house take their
bath? The COLD water—a cold religion instead of a religion with the power of the Kingdom?
Luke 11:34-35, "Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body
is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light
in you be darkness."

Do not let any one distract you
Do not give up on the church. It is our only Noah's Arch today. It is not money, not big business,
not our presumed good life. Not only that, the church is the BODY of Christ. He alone was
wounded for our transgressions. He alone was bruised for our iniquities. He alone bore our sins to
give us peace. The stripe in His body heals us. Do not be angry because someone living below
Christ's standard did something or said something to you. Do not get your life spinning in the
Wrong Direction because someone hurt you in the church or someone you regard as a Christian
disappointed you. Come to the "Noah's Arch" for the sake of your soul!

Pray for All Leaders, not only those you like
I went to the apple tree. There, I picked only those that are good and acceptable in my eyes and
left the others. Unfortunately, insects corrupted the ones I left. When I saw they are corrupted, I
started complaining bitterly! The words that came to me were, "Why are you complaining? Did

come back to bite us. We are not people who react to "BAD" situations! We are proactive people
because we have the eyes & ears of Jesus and can see & hear ahead if only we are not asleep and
busy about our own business!

Understand Your God
Do not let the enemy deceive you to think because of your life difficulties, you are out of step
with God. God is closer than you think! He is preparing you for your greater accomplishments.
Remember Joseph in captivity and later in dungeon in the land of Egypt and know that your God
is an expert in turning adverse situation for your advantage and your difficult life situation for your
decoration. All that He requires of you is FAITHFULNESS and TRUTH and your constant
“knee” exercise. You must let unrighteousness “smell bad” in your spiritual nostrils! Do not be
like people who shift to unrighteousness when life presses on them. I hope life has not pressed on
you more than Job.

 Live Strong in the Lord
In your times of difficulty, Keep up the “knee exercise” (Prayer). Ramp up your Praise! Ramp up
your Thanksgiving! Be strong both inwardly and outwardly so you can shift into the realm of
declarations of God’s promises and commanding the works of His ability. He waits for our
declarations and He says in Isaiah 45:11, “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons, and
concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”  He says in Jeremiah 1:12, “I Am watching
over My word to perform it.” He has given us His very great and precious promises to live by to
escape corruption because of difficulties. He is the Great and Almighty God. Do not stop! Do not
stop! Move higher and higher and you will touch His throne. Then you will come to know His
faithfulness if you do not faint!
